Many are convinced that readers do not want to read a very long post, that page scrolling is not used much and consequently they prefer to read short texts. If on the one hand everyone on the internet seems to be in a hurry, on the other hand those who are really interested in a text will read it even if it is very long. A question of formatting In my opinion it is also a question of how a post presents itself to the reader. If you learn the simple rules of writing for the web, if you learn to layout a text so that it is easily readable, flowing, whose elements can be found within the page, reading long posts is quick.
Words are not enough I mentioned Phone Number Data before that a 200 word text has several disadvantages: it is not interesting: the reader sees a sparse text and considers it of little value; it is not satisfactory: the reader takes a few seconds to read it and the feeling is that it is incomplete; it is not contextualized: the page cannot be perfectly optimized for the topic it deals with, due to the scarcity of keywords and related terms and concepts. 200 words are therefore not enough to guarantee credibility, information and completeness. But we must consider an exception to the rule. The exception to the rule Not all blog posts need long texts.
Not all web pages need to be 4 or 500 words or more: articles on topics that do not exist on the web or are infrequent : in this case there is not much competition online or perhaps nothing has yet been written on our topic. We can get by with short texts, even 150 words. But let's ask ourselves a question: what will happen in the future? If others are interested in our topic and write more and more pages, we will lose our supremacy. Report articles and similar : here I carry out two columns, the one on article advances and Post-it. Both have very short texts, even less than 90 words. But those posts make up a tiny part of the blog. Pages that don't require text : The contact page certainly doesn't need to say anything. That page shouldn't even be indexed.
